Details: Founded in 1927 by Elsa Schiaparelli, the House of Schiaparelli established itself as one of the boldest names in Parisian couture. In close collaboration with Surrealist artists such as Salvador Dalí and Jean Cocteau, the designer revolutionized fashion by infusing it with humor, poetry, and provocation. Through trompe-l’oeil effects, spectacular embroidery, and powerful symbols, Schiaparelli has always cultivated a taste for the extraordinary. Today, the House continues this legacy by creating sculptural and symbolic pieces in which every detail tells a story.

Among the House’s signature motifs, the eye and the sun hold a central place. The eye, a symbol of insight and mystery, runs through the collections like a protective talisman. The sun embodies strength, light, and radiance. These emblems, often rendered in gilded metal, precious embroidery, or striking ornaments, express Schiaparelli’s strong and instantly recognizable identity.

This denim set perfectly illustrates this spirit. It consists of a cropped jacket and a matching denim skirt. The fitted and structured cropped jacket features an impressive gold embroidered sun on the back, with a central face whose raised eyes immediately draw attention. Crafted with sequins, beads, and gold-tone metallic elements, the motif adds texture, brilliance, and dimension to the piece. Subtle gold details also accent the hem and cuffs. The jacket fastens with eight jeweled buttons.

The high-waisted skirt closes with a lace-up fastening at the front and a side zipper. It has a fitted straight cut, and at the back, gold beads placed at the seat evoke radiant bursts of sunlight. On the waistband, a signed leather label representing Place Vendôme in Paris, the iconic address of the House, completes the design.
