A bit of history : Hermes Kelly crocodile

In 1954, Mr. Alfred Hitchcock proposed to his costume designer to go to Paris with the actress Grace Kelly to find accessories for his film "La main au collet". The two women felt in love with all the products offered by the Hermès brand. A few years later, the actress who became Princess of Monaco was photographed next to her husband getting off the plane with this handbag hiding the first roundness of pregnancy not yet officialized. Then all women wanted this magnificent bag, crossing the doors of the Hermes boutique and asking for the Kelly: it iwas the birth of an iconic model. So two decades after its creation, Hermès decided to rename the bag: Kelly. 

Characteristics of the Hermes Kelly crocodile bag

This large Kelly 35 bag is made of black Porosus crocodile, lined with smooth leather. Inside is a large flat pocket on one side and two small on the other side. The trimmings are in gold metal. The handle as well as the bell and padlock have been changed. A shoulder strap has been added, it is not original. The bag has no wear and tear. Micro scratches are visible on the metal parts.
Inside, the inscription HERMES PARIS is engraved in letters in fine gold.

This Kelly 35 Hermès vintage bag is made in France, it dates from 1969. Its dimensions are : length 35 cm, height 25 cm, depth 13 cm. It can be carried by hand or on the shoulder, its crocodile handle is removable and it measures 93 cm. 
This bag is in good condition, we can see small traces on the front, a few small raindrops but it is extremely light. The metal parts are made of gold metal, we can observe micro scratches. The general condition of this Hermes bag is exceptional, considering its year of manufacture 1969, you will hardly find a piece so well preserved.
This crocodile bag is in free circulation in the European Union (Annex 2B of the Washington Convention), however if you leave the EU, you will be asked to obtain a CITES (not provided by our company).
